Francesco Aldorisio is a Managing Partner at Sagard Private Equity Solutions.
Francesco joined Akina, previously part of Unigestion and now Sagard Private Equity Solutions, in 2007. Over the years, he has played a key role across the firm’s private equity investment activities, covering several European markets across primary fund investments, secondaries and direct investments. His responsibilities have spanned the full investment lifecycle, from deal origination and execution to portfolio management. An early participant in the development of the secondary market, Francesco contributed to building Akina’s track record in secondaries before focusing on the establishment and expansion of the firm’s Direct Investments strategy and global direct investment team.
In 2023, Francesco was appointed Head of Investments at Unigestion, with responsibility for the firm’s private equity investment activities and teams globally. Following the completion of the partnership between Unigestion and Sagard in April 2026, he became a Managing Partner and member of the Sagard Private Equity Solutions Executive Committee. Today, he also serves on the boards of several portfolio companies across Europe and sits on the advisory boards of selected private equity funds.
Prior to joining the firm, Francesco began his career in 2002 at ABB in the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team, where he managed a number of acquisitions and divestments globally.
Francesco holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics and Social Sciences, with a major in Industrial Economy and Corporate Finance, from Bocconi University in Milan.
