Mark Zünd is Managing Partner at Sagard Private Equity Solutions.
Mark joined Unigestion, now part of Sagard Private Equity Solutions, in 2018 as Partner and Head of Investment Management in the context of the acquisition of Akina Ltd by Unigestion. He was appointed Head of Private Equity in 2023, where he oversees the private equity business at Unigestion. He played a central role in shaping investment strategy and portfolio construction within the combined global platform.
Mark was a Senior Partner and Head of Investment Management at Akina Ltd, a private equity investment manager focused on European midmarket investments. Akina Ltd emerged from a management buyout of LODH Private Equity by its Senior Partners. Mark started in 2001 at LODH Private Equity, where he ultimately served as Managing Director, responsible for private equity investments.
He began his career at McKinsey & Company as an Associate and previously held commercial roles at Hilti.
Mark holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich).
