Tim Tham is an Investment Analyst at Portage Ventures and joined the firm in 2023. As a member of Portage, Tim invests in early-stage and growth-stage fintech opportunities globally. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Tim is based in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to Portage, Tim worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at CIBC Capital Markets in the Financial Institutions and Private Capital team. He has also completed internships at Wealthsimple and Birch Hill Equity Partners in addition to having served as an intern at Portage in his second year.
Tim graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce and an Option in Computing.
