2016

Sagard takes on new leadership, headed by Paul Desmarais III, Samuel Robinson and Adam Vigna, beginning its transformation to become a global alternative asset manager

2016

Sagard Portage Ventures and Diagram are launched by Paul Desmarais III with Adam Felesky and Francois Lafortune, respectively.

“Power recognized the rapid rate of innovation in financial services, and the emergence of early-stage fintech companies and enlisted me to create a team to navigate this new era of disruption. Together with Adam Felesky (CEO, Sagard Portage Ventures) and Francois Lafortune (CEO, Diagram), we founded a differentiated global fintech investment platform (Sagard Portage Ventures) and fintech venture building platform (Diagram).” – Paul Desmarais III

2017

Launch of Sagard Credit Partners

Launch of Sagard Private Equity Canada
